April Showers: Say What You Mean....

Dear Friends,

My mother always told me that if you want say something, mean what you say and say what you mean. My mother never had an issue speaking her mind about something. Same goes with me as her child. Since grade school, we are taught in the U.S. that we have the freedom of speech. Even if it is hateful, we all can speak our minds without some punishment. However, in this world we live in, free speech comes with more consequences now. People can sue for your hurtful comments and some people have died from being bullied. Speaking your mind is a good thing but it comes with dire consequences. I have never wanted to talk about this but there are some things I want to talk about that no matter what should be said, needs to be said.
The media thinks they’re shielded from the backlash of free speech but they are not. I find it appalling that people could get on television but have no common sense when they speak about something. I believe in protesting but some people go to great extremes to make a simple point. The media makes it a point to show ignorant people who have the freedom to speak their minds but their beliefs are construed and misguided. That pastor from Florida comes to Michigan to protest the Arab community around Detroit. Why?
I said that some free speech is hateful, that’s true. Groups like the KKK and other White supremacy groups are covered in free speech. However, we all don’t have to listen or put up with it. I might not have had the pleasure of seeing a KKK rally, or some neo-Nazi group but simple farmers and men whose daughters like black men speak their minds and share their views in the same way. Racism will never go away but thank god we also have a choice in the matter.
Most of my older relatives fought with civil right dignitaries to give me and others a better life now. Free speech was covered but what the young kids say now is pure ignorance. What upset me even more is when you have a kid from the ‘burbs speaking like they are from the ghetto. Again, we have free speech but we also have free choice. I might have lost my point in this entry but I want people to know that free speech is a blessing but also a curse. Mean what you say but be aware of the consequences of what you say. Words can get you killed now.

April Showers: Happy Home 2012

Dear Friend,

This might be a weird topic to talk about but I think it needs some explaining. We all have our own unique ways to classify life. We use catchphrases, slang, and other forms of languages to talk about things. I am no different in the matter, especially when it comes to certain aspects of life. If you have ever talked to me in person, you know what I say about being in a commented relationship. Today, I am going to finally discuss my ideology of commented relationships. I refer to it as a happy home. So we will talk about my idea of and for a happy home.
A happy home is when two people are in a commented relationship. I don’t discriminate when I speak on this. Whether you’re straight, gay, lesbian, or whatever, the happy home concept applies to all of us. In this world, most people don’t think about a happy home. I came up with this concept decades ago. As a teen, I believed that people should be with someone and stick with them until it unbearable. Most teen relationships last like a couple of weeks. Some that go beyond are the ones that I would call a true happy home. When I was in college, happy home became something of a philosophy. I don’t believe in cheating and hate when people do it. I am no saint and have done it myself. That’s why a happy home is a strong belief with me.
A happy home also means that you should not stray from you commitment. What bothers me most about when people cheat is because someone is not making the other happy. People cheat only because our needs are not met. Another way to look at this is when someone is not happy being in this relationship. Men cheat because they aren’t getting the pussy. That only happens when women are pregnant, or on their cycle. Women cheat when men cheat. Women seek someone that will be sensual but also willing to do what their man won’t. When people cheat, that is not a happy home.
I have created and changed the happy home concept since 1995 to be my idea for being happy and in a commented relationship. Most of my ex-girlfriends would say that I was faithful to the exceptions of those I have cheat on. I think in my life, I found someone that I could be happy with only time will tell if I truly have a happy home. That’s all for now, but there is more to come.

April Showers: Random Thoughts For April 2012

Dear Friends,

Well I want to apologize for the lack of entries but it is that time of year where I get busy and gain some happiness in my life. It is spring and when it is spring, my blood runs with the colors of baseball. So I have been busy with working and various other things that I will talk about in future entries. This is my random thoughts entry. What I am going to talk about are things that I have seen in the past three weeks. Also I want to say that I am thankful to see spring and have someone special in my life.
Since it is spring, it means rain. In Michigan, rain is something easier to deal with than snow. However, rain can be cold this time of the year. One thing about working outside is that cold rain sucks. During the month of April, it rains like it snows during mid-February. This might sound silly to talk about but part of the changing weather is going from cold to warm. I guess to me, it is a step in the right direction to be going from snow to rain.
When spring comes, it means more people are out doing more things. There is a give and take with when spring comes. We are happy to see spring but there is something we all have no choice about. When the weather warms up, we either have flashes of warm weather and people act like it is summer. However, when the temperature drops, we get sick from it. Most people might not get sick but we all do eventually.
Some people think spring starts in March; I think spring starts in April with baseball. I have thought that way since 2003. Spring is a season of changes and warmth. I love the fact that in my 30 years that spring has not changed in that time. Spring gives new life to plants and animals but as a human, it is nice to start a new year and also get a fresh start. That’s all for now but I have got a lot more to come.
